While we are cooped up in our homes, I thought it would be fun to put together an outdoor sanctuary. Having an outdoor space to go to is a great way to combat cabin fever. Working in your yard gets you outside and exercising and gardening can help reduce stress. I have a hard time sitting still and having a change of scenery is important for me. I hope you will enjoy this fun little outdoor space I created while social distancing in Texas.
Good morning. We awoke today to one of the strangest, most uncertain weeks I can remember having. I don't know about you, but all the fear and negativity out there has started to get to me. SO if you are looking for a positive outlet, I will be dishing it out as often as I can. Today's But First Coffee episode is about A Clean Start. When I am cooped up at home or feel stressed, I like to deep clean and get organized. Since I am in Texas I decided I would do this at my Mother's house. The weather is lovely and it is the perfect time to open the windows and let the fresh breeze blow through the house.
This week's But First Coffee is about reflection. No video today. Just taking a moment to think about refection. Whether you are reflecting on a project, something going on in your life, or how far you come. It is such a great way to keep you grounded and to ensure you are on the right track. I recently took a trip to Corpus Christi, Texas. I haven't been back there in quite some time. While there I began to reflect on how much my life has changed since I lived there.

In this episode, I decided to bring you along with me for my morning walk along the primrose path and to take time to be present in the moment. It is so easy to get busy with our day to day lives and forget to be present in the moment. So this week I thought it would be good to take a morning stroll with this in mind. I hope it inspires you to take time to be present in the moment today.
Here is a quick little time-lapse of me painting the shutters for the farm, up at my Uncle's factory. This is my first time using the paint-booth. Teaching my self a new skill while refurbishing these 30 year old shutters.
Bar cabinets are a fun way to add a little fun to your space. There are so many great solutions available that have a statement piece quality and offer a cool way to store and display your bar-ware.
