Creating a beautiful focal point with a range hood can really transform a kitchen. There are so many possibilities, from pewter, copper, and bronze, to wood. If the price of a metal or wood range hood doesn't fit in your budget, another great option is to do a faux finish. In one of the kitchens I am working on for a client in North Carolina, I am finishing a range hood to look like oil rubbed bronze. This will be the focal point of the space and will tie in to the lighting and fixtures that will be installed. Here is a little process video I have put together to show you how I achieved this look.
