Good morning. This week I am talking about being your authentic self and taking time to reflect on who you really are. What are the things that are important to you, and what are some of the things that you want to be remembered for? Why take the time to think about this? Because many times we don't do this unless we are forced to. By that point, it could be too late. I make a point to do this pretty frequently and I do it because I want to make sure that I'm on the right course.
I think this is really important for living a creative life because if you're not on the right course, you're just sort of floating along, and doing things without a purpose.
I want you to take some time this week to reflect on what is it that you are doing. What are your goals? What are you moving towards? Are you being your authentic self? Are you sharing those authentic qualities about yourself with the people around you? And are you appreciating those authentic qualities and other people?
I love being around people who celebrate their uniqueness.
There are so many challenges that we face when we are trying to be our authentic self. It can be very uncomfortable and make you feel vulnerable, but it is what makes you uniquely you that makes you interesting, that makes you, wonderful! Sometimes you might feel like you don't want people to know those things about you, but in truth, those are the things that people love most about you.
So the reflection, this week again is really about identifying your authentic self, those qualities that make you uniquely you, what are your strengths, in those qualities and how can you take those skills and strengths and tap into all the different areas of your life where you can make sure, that they are guiding your purpose?
Before we begin this day today, I want to celebrate who you are, your authentic self and I hope that through your reflection you will be able to share that quality about you or those qualities about you, with all of us.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
I welcome you to share your thoughts in the comments below.
