In my quest to start taking Friday’s to focus on some positivity and things I love, it is no wonder I chose Chocolate for my second post! To say I love chocolate is an understatement. It is the one thing in life I struggle with sharing. Truly. Most days I have a little hidden away somewhere that I break a piece off of and enjoy as if time slowed down. I am not sure why. It is up there with my coffee time in the morning. Savor the momentWhenever I travel I make a point to find local chocolatier's and try different flavors. It is a fun way to savor the moment. On a trip to Miami I discovered a new flavor that I never thought would go together. I stopped into Monsier Ganache's and tried a dark chocolate and chili pepper truffle. Who would have thought that combination would be so magical!?! It was the perfect blend of sweet, bitter, and spicy.
If I had to pick a favorite chocolate memory, it would be from a design opening at Baker Furniture in the Denver Design center. As a designer I left that event with a goodie bag that had the most scrumptious chocolate truffle I ever tasted in my life. The Vogues Chocolate and Curry Truffle. From their exotic truffle collection. I have never had another one since, but the it was a moment I will never forget. One day I will breakdown and order the full collection! One-a-DayFor my daily does of chocolate, I love to place a beautiful bowl or chalice out and keep my Dove Chocolate in them. Each one has a inspiring message and melts in your mouth. My two favorites are Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt and Dark Chocolate and Raspberry. It adds a delicious and enjoyable guilty pleasure to your coffee table. Do you savor the moment when you indulge your chocolate cravings?
